Hawaiʻi County Mayor Mitch Roth's Award for Achievement in Sustainability and Resilience recognizes a few of the many individuals and organizations that are making a difference here on Hawaiʻi Island. They each share the core values of love of place, stewardship and community engagement. Each in their own way is demonstrating, through their actions, that we can make a difference in improving our environment, embracing our Hawaiian heritage, and inspiring others to commit to sustainable and resilient actions. The results of their efforts will be felt for generations and, for that, they are worthy of this recognition.
